Blóts performed 2025: Blót Kindred Sleipner held Álfablót on November 8, 2025

Svenska

On Saturday, November 8th, the blót kindred Sleipner held its closed Álfablót.

This blót is a very personal one, and many choose to hold it by themselves or in the company of the people closest to them.
During this blót, thoughts turn to the ancestors, and the emotions that arise during these toasts are incredibly personal when it comes to those who have passed on.
For this reason, Sleipner chooses to keep this blót closed.
We naturally hope that all of you, if you did not hold your own blót, at least offered some thoughts to our forefathers and reflected on all they have done for us who still walk Midgard.

The weather that day could not have been more fitting for this blót, dry, but with a light mist drifting across the place.
The location was Tinnerö Oak Landscape in Linköping in Sweden a place with many beautiful trees that look as though they could have stood there since the dawn of time.
Throughout this whole nature reserve there is history and traces from all ages, making it a place where many have passed, lived, and died through countless years.
A perfect place to once again reconnect with the powers and the ancestors.

The blót was officiated by our Magnus Andersson, with Linda Strandberg assisting.
A very calm and beautiful blót, where the participants under their guidance carried out their toasts and honors.
As is customary at all our blóts, the ravens were heard in the treetops, a reminder that they were there with us.
There is something very beautiful and honorable about being someone who listens and is present for others when they open up with their stories about their lives, whether in good times or difficult ones.
To be there and listen, to be part of their lives.
Never take anything for granted, be a good person and be there for others, even when it feels heavy and hard.

After the blót, most of the blót kindred made their way to the home of the officiants, who had prepared a delightful meal.
Inside, in the warmth with good friends and warm, delicious food, laughter flowed continuously. Ideas about the future, stories of the past, and a great deal of everything else found plenty of space that evening as conversations and discussions unfolded.

A big thank you to Magnus and Linda for the beautiful blót and the wonderful food, and also to all of you who came and made the day into yet another cherished memory.
