Vergelmer held Dísablót on April 11 at the stone ship setting by Lake Mjösjön in Umeå, Sweden.
The stone ship setting at Lake Mjösjön is Sweden’s northernmost stone ship setting, located on a ridge just south of Lake Mjösjön in Umeå Municipality, Västerbotten County.
In the area there are several ancient remains; among them are four graves from the Bronze Age (1700–500 BC), including Sweden’s northernmost stone ship setting, as well as two cairns and one stone setting.
During ancient times, the elevation was an island in the sea; due to land uplift, the ancient monument is now located on the mainland, several kilometers from the coast.
It was a very beautiful day as Sunna shone upon us from a cloudless sky, and on our way down toward Umeå we saw a good sign: two large ravens that met us by the side of the road.
Once in place at the stone ship setting, we felt a strong positive energy there from the dísir and the female beings present at the site.
And since a child is expected within the blót kindred, that energy was felt much more strongly than before.
We made offerings especially to the Norns, asking them to spin especially strong threads, and in thanks that they have spun strong threads; to Freyja for fertility; to Frigg for protection for the coming generation; and not least to Odin for wisdom and guidance.
