During the weekend the blót kindred Vergelmer had Midwinter blót out on the ice in Luleå, Sweden. That weekend offered a lot of wind but it has not stopped one who came to participate event.

On Saturday, January 18, we held our midwinter blót at Lenhovda burial ground, which is quite a large burial site located in a relatively compact and central area within the local heritage park in Lenhovda. It was a powerful blót in a powerful place.

We gathered at the passage graves in Vårkumla outside Falköping for Gungnir and Draupnir’s joint Midwinter Blót.
The footpath from the parking lot was beautifully lined with torches all the way to the blót site.

On Sunday, January 12, 2025, members of Blót Kindred Idavallen held their midwinter blót separately. I do not have much to add regarding this, as I myself, together with NBR Thommy Vähäsalo, participated in Blót Kindreds Gungnir and Draupnir’s joint Midwinter Blót this year.

A 3500-year-old burial cairn in Junkboda outside Skellefteå, Sweden is to be destroyed to make way for the Norrbotnia Line. A preliminary investigation revealed a burial cairn surrounded by massive stone slabs and covered with round stones - a clear burial cairn. Now this historic monument is to be destroyed. And that's just the beginning. Hundreds of ancient monuments have been identified as obstacles to railway construction and risk the same fate. Our cultural heritage is being erased in the name of efficiency and exploitation. Deliberately wiping out our history is a scandal. We have a duty to preserve the heritage of our ancestors, not destroy it for modern expansion. Sacrificing ancient monuments is an affront to both history and future generations.

On Sunday, January 12, Blót Kindred Sleipner held its midwinter blót. This year's blót was held at Eriksberg's rock carvings outside Norrköping, Östergötland, Sweden.

Ymer called for a Midwinter Blót on 11 January. It was a dark and rather windy evening, but still incredibly beautiful in the light of the full moon and lanterns in the snow.

On Saturday, December 14, the Blót Kindred Idavallen held a combined annual meeting, winter solstice ride and guild. All of them were held at the home of our NBR and Blót Kindred leader Thommy Vähäsalo.

According to the calendar of the Nordic Asa-community, 2025 is dedicated to Thor. It is the year when Thor will be honoured and blóted to a bit extra. .
