A wedding ceremony between Sasha and Justin was performed in Stockholm on October 28, 2025.
I am sitting on the train to Stockholm, because I am going to perform a wedding ceremony for a French couple in the capital. It feels really exciting, and as it turned out, it would become even more exciting.
The couple, who drove from the capital of France with their closest friends, soon experienced that life can really go off track. One of the two cars they were driving broke down in Belgium. It had to be left there, along with the party tent and table that were to be used during the ceremony. In the confusion, the couple forgot to update me about what had happened.
Eventually, the couple and friends arrived somewhat late at the ceremony site, and there, just as they were about to park, that car also died. By this time it was already dark and the rain was falling. We soon understood that neither the party tent nor the table were available, so we had to improvise. It was not glamorous, but the determination in the eyes of the friends and the couple could be seen – this wedding ceremony was important to them. That the car carried them all the way to the parking lot and did not die at a red light or on the highway tells me that the wedding was meant to happen.
We found a place there by the small lake with a roof; the couple was not dressed to stand in the rain, and the last thing they needed was to get sick after the wedding, I thought. There we squeezed in, with the friends standing outside in the rain.
Magnus was calm and resourceful before, during, and after the ceremony, thank you for that, Magnus Andersson, one of our skilled blót officiants in NAS/NAC.
We are very happy to have been able to perform a same-sex wedding in NAS/NAC, thank you Sasha and Justin for choosing us, and for making your way all the way here to be wed before the Powers.
