Blót Kindred Ymer invites you to Segerblót at Lillängen Burial Field (Hågadalen-Nåsten Nature Reserve) on Saturday, May 2.
This blót is open to the public and everyone is welcome.
What is Victory Blót?
The Victory Blót, celebrated at the beginning of summer, is an important festival that seeks victory and success.
It also marks the end of the winter half of the year and the beginning of the summer half.
The term “blót” refers to the sacrificial rituals that are central to religious practice, while “victory” highlights the primary purpose of the festival: seeking divine blessings to triumph over the many challenges of the summer season.
However, in our modern times, our battles may not look the same as they did 1,000 years ago, and we now sacrifice based on the struggles we face and wish to overcome.
We honor and sacrifice to the divine powers during this ceremony so that they may grant us tools such as knowledge, will, and strength to win our personal battles.
About the location:
The Lillängen burial field is located in the northern part of the nature reserve near Kvarnbo.
The burial field dates to the Early Iron Age and contains around fifty graves, about thirty standing stones, and one runestone.
Parking is limited, therefore carpooling is recommended.

Bring a blót offering (e.g. plant-based items that can quickly decompose in nature), a drinking vessel, and clothing appropriate for the weather.
Nature is our temple and we gather outdoors in all weather conditions.
The Nordic Asa-community is non-political, and we therefore do not accept any politically charged messages during our blóts and rituals.
We offer an initiation rite on site after the blót has concluded.
This means that you may step into the Ásatrú faith before the powers.
This costs 100 SEK, and the fee goes directly to the blót kindred to help fund our activities.
If you would also like a physical certificate of the performed rite, an additional cost of 60 SEK applies.
