Hello and welcome to a joint Disablót!
This blót is especially significant for the people of Uppland, as it was once a major, central ceremony in Gamla Uppsala, held in connection with the All-Svear Thing.
The Disablót was performed to honor female deities in anticipation of a good harvest and fertility.
In our modern time, the blót serves to bring together followers of Asatru to welcome spring, fertility, and above all, to pay tribute to our Disir´s.
The Disablót will take place at Valsgärde, just north of Gamla Uppsala in Sweden. We will meet at the parking lot at 10:40, after which we will take a short walk of about 400 meters to the blót site.
Please bring a drinking vessel, a blót offering (vegetable-based), and, if possible, a stone for the harg (altar) construction.
We will provide swedish fika after the ceremony!
Photography often takes place during our blóts and may be published on our website. Consent will be requested before the ceremony begins.
Political opinions should be left at home—we blot for our Asatru, gods, and goddesses.
