Hello and welcome to a communal Dísablót!
This blót is special for the people of Uppland in Sweden, as in ancient times it was a major central ceremony in Gamla Uppsala in connection with the Thing of all the Svear.
The Dísablót was primarily held to honor female Goddesses for a good harvest and fertility.
In our modern time, the blót is intended to gather Ásatrú adherents and like-minded people to begin the spring, fruitfulness, and to honor our Dísir.
This year’s Dísablót will be held at Valsgärde, just north of Gamla Uppsala.
The parking area is somewhat small, so carpooling is definitely a good idea.
From the parking area it is about a 400 m walk to the blót site.
Gathering at the parking area at 10:40.
Bring clothing according to the weather, optional drinking vessel.
Blót offerings are warmly welcome; please make sure they are organic and biodegradable by nature.
We offer light refreshments after the ceremony.
Photography takes place during our blót and is later published on the website; consent will be requested before the ceremony begins.
Political opinions are not welcome.
We perform blót for our Ásatrú, gods and goddesses.
