Blót kindred Gungnir invites you to Winter Nights Blót, this time in Helsingborg, Skåne, Sweden.
In Ynglinga Saga, Winter Nights is mentioned as the first blót of Odin, a sacrifice dedicated to ensuring a good coming year, which can be interpreted as the start of a new year.
Winter Nights falls on the third full moon before the Midwinter Blót and lasts for three days starting on the full moon.
Ättekulla is an archaeologically rich area in Helsingborg, known for its many visible burial mounds and hidden settlement remains.
It is the most ancient monument–dense area in Helsingborg Municipality.
We will hold the blot next to the burial mounds.

What to expect: Depending on the blót we perform blots for different reasons, but the underlying concept is always the same: we honor the powers and our ancestors, offering them our thoughts, toasts, and gifts.
The hope is to receive something in return.
What that may be is up to the practitioner.
As it says in Hávamál: “A gift demands that a gift be given in return.”
Good to know: The Nordic Asa-community is non-political, and we therefore do not accept any politically charged messages during our blóts and rituals.
Bring a drinking vessel, this will be used for the different ceremonial toasts.
We encourage you to bring offerings in the form of items that nature itself can take care of, such as fruit, berries, grains, etc.
Also, please bring a stone about the size of a fist; these are placed on the hargr over the years as a monument to our presence.
We offer an initiation ritual on site after the blót.
This means that, before the powers, you leave your old faith behind and step into Asatru.
The cost is 100 SEK, and if you wish to have a certificate of the performed ritual, there is an additional cost of 60 SEK.
Payment via Swish is accepted.
