Blót kindred Draupnir invites you to Victory Blót, which we will hold at Mosslelund Burial Ground in Värnamo, Sweden.
The Victory Blót takes place three full moons after the Midwinter Blót, which this year falls on April 13.
The Victory Blót is celebrated for three days and three nights, but we will only gather on Sunday.
During this blót, we will offer sacrifices to the powers, seeking their strength, opportunity, and will to help us succeed in the challenges we will face in the coming year.
We celebrate the victory over the cold and welcome the return of growth and blooming life as summer begins.
Mosslelund Burial Ground is quite large, measuring 210 × 90 meters (N-S), and is a beautiful green area covered with deciduous trees.
The burial site contains nearly 60 more or less visible ancient remains, consisting of various types of graves.
Here, you will find round, low mounds, as well as a few treuds (triangular stone settings), a domarring (stone circle), and several ship settings.
After the blót, we will have a shared swedish fika with our own picnic baskets in the area.
Please bring a drinking vessel for the toasts we will make during the ceremony, as well as an offering that is biodegradable (fruit, vegetables, berries, etc., preferably avoiding meat).
