7 December, Sleipner held its annual closed Yule rite, which ended with a guild"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>On Saturday 7 December, the Bl\u00f3t Kindred Sleipner held its traditional Yule rite at the stonesettings behind Sj\u00f6gestad motel in Sweden.<br\/>A place that many of us feel strongly about.<br\/>The weather was probably not entirely on our side but with marshals and some candles it was a beautiful, cosy and warm ride with both old and new friends from near and far.<br\/>We were 13 of which 2 children in the ring and one outside.<br\/><\/p>\n\n<p>It all began with the blowing of the horn by Elvis Strandberg, and then Magnus Andersson, the Bl\u00f3t officiant, and Linda Strandberg, the assistant, took over.<br\/>The rite gave way to many warm and emotional toasts from all as a welcome drink so that you could warm up. After a while of mingling, it was time to eat, the food had been prepared and it was in the usual order a traditional swedish julbord with lots to choose from. <br\/>Of course with dessert, sweets and long into the night.<br\/>This rite and guild is a closed event and only for all the Bl\u00f3t Kindreds of Nordic Asa-community, it\u00b4s providing an opportunity to exchange ideas and meet members from other Bl\u00f3t Kindreds you may not see very often.<br\/>It&#8217;s a place where the Bl\u00f3t Kindreds can grow and strengthen the bonds between them.<br\/>My thought is to give something back to all of you who fix all the wonderful bl\u00f3t\u00b4s around our beautiful country, you are worth this evening and more.<br\/><\/p>\n\n<p>This gathering grows in numbers every year and is a joy to be a part of.<br\/>It is noticeable that the Bl\u00f3t Kindreds are growing in membership and there are always some new faces at the table.<br\/>I hope this trend continues so that I will see more new faces and maybe even Bl\u00f3t Kindreds in the future, because as long as I have breath and strength I will continue to organise this guild for you Bl\u00f3t
